Abstrakt:

Street names not only serve topographical and spatial orientation, but also reflect historical and socio-cultural conditions and are a political instrument. They are therefore frequently changed. Numerous streets and squares in Poland were also renamed during the German occupation. This article will look at the renaming of streets and squares in Dąbrowa Górnicza. An attempt will be made to determine what trends can be observed in the renaming process in relation to the function of hodonyms.
