Each wave of emigration distinguished itself with only a few names worth noting and commemorating. From the so\-called \"steadfast” generation they were undoubtedly\: Stefania Kossowska, Maria Danilewicz\-Zielińska and Krystyna Cywińska. From the 1980s generation, also called the \"solidarity\" emigration they were\: Regina Wasiak\-Taylor, Katarzyna Bzowska\-Budd, Anna Witek, Anna Wołek, Krystyna Rees and Teresa Bazarnik Małkiewicz. Polish female journalists which are the most difficult to identify, are the ones from the post\-accession era, i.e. those who arrived in Great Britain after May 2004. To study their wide social activities – not only journalistic or scientific and literary – the author used interviews, and numerous social gatherings in different circumstances and on various occasions, including international scientific conferences organized by the Polish University in Exile in London. Moreover, the book contains conclusions from a qualitative analysis of the content of émigré periodicals, in which they published their articles. All the characters described in the book have one common trait – dedicated work for the Polish diaspora in Great Britain or in other countries. Over many decades, through press releases, social networking sites or other internet platforms, they spoke on various important issues concerning Poles in their new settlement countries. In addition, they all participated, and continue to do so, in non\-editorial activities which are part of the broadly understood socio\-cultural activity of Polish emigrants in their settlement countries."]
