Abstract:
The article summarizes the theoretical approaches to the poetry translation issues. It is dedicat-ed to the analysis of V. Slapchuk’s classical poetry, translated into Russian by V. Bych. Attention is focused on the reproduction of the original versification features in the translations, namely: rhythm, rhyme, strophic structure. The differences between the original text and the translation at the semantic level are traced too
