 abstract={Przedmiotem pracy doktorskiej zatytułowanej „Nauczyciel w wirtualnej przestrzeni. Badania etnograficzne wybranych szkolnych stron internetowych” jest analiza stron internetowych wybranych szkół średnich, na których zamieszczane są treści o nauczycielach. Potrzeba badania zawartości szkolnych stron internetowych wynika ze zjawiska mediatyzacji rzeczywistości społecznej i ekspansji Internetu. Celem praktycznym podjętych badań było opracowanie wskazówek dla nauczycieli tworzących swoje prezentacje na stronie internetowej szkoły. W pracy poddałam analizie wybrane zakładki stron internetowych dziesięciu szkół średnich zrzeszonych w Stowarzyszeniu na rzecz Najstarszych Szkół w Polsce [SNS] oraz blog uczniowski I LO w Zamościu i strony internetowe pięciu stowarzyszeń absolwentów badanych szkół. Niniejsza dysertacja doktorska składa się z trzech części.Pierwsza część poświęcona została omówieniu teoretycznych założeń badań własnych i składa się z trzech rozdziałów, w których omówiłam sytuację nauczycieli na tle przemian edukacji przed i po 1989 roku, wybrane problemy pedeutologii (rola społeczna i zawodowa, kompetencje, awans zawodowy, kształcenie, prestiż) oraz rolę mediów w kształtowaniu wizerunku nauczyciela. Przybliżyłam także zagadnienia dotyczące mediatyzacji rzeczywistości społecznej, pamięci, cyberprzestrzeni, szkolnych stron internetowych oraz społeczności internetowych. Druga część poświęcona jest metodologicznym założeniom badań własnych i składa się z pięciu rozdziałów, w których omówiłam następujące kwestie: przedmiot i cele badań oraz stanowisko badawcze. Sformułowałam problemy badawcze, wskazałam metody badań. Przybliżyłam również metodę zbierania danych - netnografię i metodę analizy danych - jakościową analizę treści. Uzasadniłam dobór próby badawczej oraz opisałam organizację i przebieg badań własnych. W rozdziale dotyczących problemów badawczych określiłam problem główny oraz problemy szczegółowe. Główny problem badawczy zawarty jest w pytaniu: Jakie treści na temat nauczycieli prezentowane są w wirtualnej przestrzeni szkoły? Natomiast problemami szczegółowymi jest pięć pytań. 1. Jak na stronach internetowych szkół prezentowane są sylwetki obecnie uczących nauczycieli? 2. Jak na stronach internetowych szkół prezentowane są sylwetki obecnych dyrektorów szkoły? 3. Jak na stronach internetowych szkół pielęgnowana jest pamięć o dawnych nauczycielach i kadrze zarządzającej szkół? 4. Jaką rolę w procesie upamiętniania kadry szkół pełnią szkolne blogi? 5. Jaką rolę w procesie upamiętnia kadry szkół pełnią strony internetowe stowarzyszeń absolwentów szkoły? Jak wspomniałam wcześniej, wykorzystałam do zbierania danych netnografię, czyli wirtualną etnografię, która czerpie z dorobku tradycyjnej etnografii i w badaniu stron internetowych wybranych szkół średnich posłużyła mi do przeszukania ich zasobów. Dane netnograficzne, które zgromadziłam i zarchiwizowałam pochodzą z zakładek, których zawartość dotyczy: nauczyciela, dyrektora, pamięci, bloga, stowarzyszenia.},
 abstract={Zebrane dane przeanalizowałam za pomocą jakościowej analizy treści, która polega na opisie i interpretacji wytworów w formie pisanej (np. publikacje, wspomnienia, dokumenty zapisane cyfrowo) i niepisanej (np. zdjęcia). Cyfrowe zasoby stron internetowych szkół, które dotyczyły nauczycieli obejmowały więc nie tylko tekst, ale i obraz, co wymagało odniesienia się do problemu kultury wizualnej i jej znaczenia w badaniach pedagogicznych. Ze szkół zrzeszonych w SNS wybrałam dziesięć liceów ogólnokształcących, które na swoich stronach internetowych prezentują zasoby ludzkie placówki w najbardziej różnorodny sposób. Są to szkoły znajdujące się na terenie ośmiu z szesnastu województw w Polsce. Dwie spośród dziesięciu wybranych stron internetowych szkół średnich zostały usunięte z listy SNS w trakcie badania, co odzwierciedla dynamikę wirtualnej przestrzeni. Dziesięć analizowanych stron internetowych szkół to strony liceów, które należą do najstarszych tego typu placówek zarówno w Polsce, jak i w Europie. Dzięki takiemu wyborowi możliwe stało się ukazanie wielu sposobów przedstawiania nauczyciela w Sieci, ale i upamiętniania dawnej kadry pedagogicznej szkół. Część trzecia stanowi prezentację analizy wyników badań i składa się z pięciu rozdziałów, w których odpowiedziałam na sformułowane w części metodologicznej problemy badawcze. Pierwsze dwa rozdziały dotyczą prezentacji na stronach internetowych szkół sylwetek nauczycieli i kadry zarządzającej obecnie uczącej w dziesięciu szkołach średnich, wybranych spośród szkół zrzeszonych w SNS. Następny poświęcony jest pamięci o dawnych nauczycielach i kadrze zarządzającej szkół na wybranych stronach internetowych szkół. Kolejny przybliża proces upamiętniania kadry pedagogicznej na szkolnym blogu, a ostatni na stronach stowarzyszeń absolwentów wybranych szkół należących do Stowarzyszenia. W każdym z rozdziałów odniosłam się do zamieszczanych na szkolnych stronach internetowych materiałów wizualnych, które dotyczą kadry pedagogicznej i odpowiedziałam na sformułowane w części metodologicznej problemy badawcze. W zakończeniu zamieściłam praktyczne wskazówki skierowane do nauczycieli i kadry zarządzającej szkołą na temat jej prezentacji w Internecie. W zmieniającej się rzeczywistości, zdominowanej przez nowe technologie oraz ciągłą i nie zawsze słuszną krytykę szkoły i nauczyciela, koniecznością staje się dbanie o przemyślaną i wspólnie konstruowaną prezentację kadry pedagogicznej.},
 abstract={Summary of the doctoral dissertationThe subject of the dissertation entitled „The teacher in virtual space. Ethnographic research of selected school websites” is the analysis of secondary school websites, where information about teachers is posted. The need to research the contents on school websites is connected with the phenomenon of social reality mediatization and Internet expansion. The aim of the research is to prepare practical suggestions to create teachers’ presentations on the school’s website. In my dissertation, I analyzed selected sections of ten secondary schools websites, schools which are associated in the Association of The Oldest Schools in Poland [SNS] and also student blog I LO in Zamość and websites of five associations of these schools’ graduates.This doctoral dissertation consists of three parts.The first part is devoted to discuss about theoretical assumptions of my own research and consists of three chapters, in which I discussed the situation of teachers on the background of education changes before and after 1989, selected problems of pedeutology (social and professional role, competences, professional promotion, education, prestige) and the role of the media in creating the teacher’s image. I also discussed issues related to the mediatization of social reality, memory, cyberspace, school websites and online communities. The second part is devoted to the methodological assumptions of my research and consists of five chapters, in which I discussed the following issues: the subject and aims of research, as well as research stand. I defined research problems, I pointed out research methods. I also introduced the method of data collection - netnography and data analysis - qualitative content analysis. I presented a selection of a test (research) sample and I described the organization and my research process. In the chapter on research problems, I identified the main problem and the specific problems. The main research problem is put in the question: What content about teachers is presented in the virtual space of the school? While specific problems are put in five questions. 1. How are the profiles of currently teaching teachers presented on school websites? 2. How are the present school headmasters presented on school websites? 3. How are former teachers and school leaders commemorated on school websites? 4. What is the role of school blogs in the process of commemorating school staff? 5. What is the role of school graduate associations in the process of commemorating school staff ? As I mentioned earlier, to collect data I used netnography, or virtual ethnography, which draws from achievements of traditional ethnography, I used it to search resources of secondary schools. The netnographic data that I have collected and archived comes from website sections and they are about: teachers, headmasters, memory, blog, association.},
 abstract={I have analyzed collected data using qualitative content analysis, which depends on the description and interpretation of products in written form (e.g. publications, memories, digitally saved documents) and unwritten (e.g. photos). The digital resources of school websites that concerned teachers included not only text but also images and it required reference to the problem of visual culture and its importance for pedagogical research. I chose ten secondary schools from the those affiliated to SNS, which present on their websites information about people from these institutions in the most diverse way. These schools are located in eight from sixteen voivodships in Poland. Two out of ten secondary school websites were removed from the SNS list during the study, and it reflects the dynamics of virtual space. The ten analyzed school websites belong to secondary schools which are among the oldest of its kind in Poland and Europe. Thanks to this choice, it became possible to show many ways to present the teacher on the Web, but also to commemorate the former teaching staff. The third part is a presentation of the analysis of research results and consists of five chapters in which I responded to the research problems defined in the methodological part. The first two chapters deal with the presentation of profiles of teachers and management staff currently teaching in ten secondary schools, selected from schools affiliated to SNS, on the websites of schools. The next one is dedicated to memory about former teachers and school management on selected school websites. Another one introduces the process of commemorating the teaching staff on the school blog, and the last one on the pages of graduates associations of selected schools which belong to the Association. In each of the chapters, I referred to visual materials posted on school websites that relate to teaching staff and I responded to the research problems formulated in the methodological part. In the end, I put practical tips for teachers and school management about their presentation on the Internet. In a changing reality, dominated by new technologies and constant and not always fair criticism of the school and the teacher, it is necessary to take care of a thoughtful and jointly constructed presentation of the teaching staff.},
