 abstract={Praca doktorska jest podsumowaniem moich dotychczasowych przemyśleń i poznanych teorii dotyczących budowy Wszechświata, od najmniejszych do największych jego struktur, wyrażonych własnym językiem artystycznej wypowiedzi.Pracę doktorską stanowi cykl 10 obrazów w technice olejnej, na płótnie lnianym, w którym znajdują się cztery obrazy o wymiarach 100 cm x 100 cm, trzy obrazy o wymiarach 162 cm x 100 cm, trzy obrazy 162 cm x 162 cm. Część mojej pracy teoretycznej zajmują rozważania dotyczące struktury, koloru oraz historii Wszechświata w oparciu o kosmologiczny model standardowy, czyli model Wielkiego Wybuchu.Opis pracy doktorskiej składa się z rozbudowanego Wstępu, czterech części i Zakończenia. W Części I wskazuję na Wszechświat jako obiekt moich rozważań, wyjaśniam zastosowaną terminologię, tłumaczę tytuł mojej pracy doktorskiej. Jest to też próba sprecyzowania pojęcia „obrazu świata” i osadzenia go w szerszym kontekście filozoficznym. Wskazuję na „naukowy obraz świata” jako źródło inspiracji, który zestawiam z „odrzuconym obrazem” epoki średniowiecza. W Części II wyjaśniam rolę obserwacji astronomicznych jako źródła wiedzy. Odnoszę się do inspirujących mnie teorii naukowych dotyczących historii, ewolucji i struktury Wszechświata, a także jego kształtu i koloru. W tej części umieściłam też opis wybranych obrazów w kontekście „tła kosmologicznego”. Wskazuję tu na korelacje nauki i sztuki w kształtowaniu własnej wizji i artystycznej interpretacji Wszechświata. W Części III poświęconej procesowi twórczemu i sposobie realizacji cyklu malarskiego, wyjaśniam użytą technikę malarską, zastosowane środki wyrazu, uzasadniam wybór podobrazi oraz ograniczenie gamy kolorystycznej do Palety Hubble’a. W Części IV przywołuję źródła inspiracji: naukowy obraz świata, historyczne i współczesne modele Wszechświata, astrofotografię i obserwacje astronomiczne, a także malarstwo wielkich mistrzów. Zakończenie stanowi krótkie podsumowanie.},
 abstract={The doctoral thesis summarises personal reasoning and learnt theories about the Universe, from the smallest to the largest of its structures, expressed in my own artistic language. The theoretical dissertation is the reflection on the Universe - its structure, shape, colour, and history in the context of the Big Bang. The description of the dissertation consists of introduction, four parts, and summary.In the first part, I present the Universe as the Object of my research and considerations, clarify the terminology used and explicate the title and terms used in the dissertation. It is also an attempt to specify the term ‘the image of the Universe’ in the wide philosophical context. I indicate the scientific image of the world as the source of inspiration and confront it with the discarded image of Middle Ages.In part II I indicate the correlation between art and science. I refer to the scientific theories of the structure, history, and evolution of the Universe that I find particularly inspiring. I explicate the role of the astronomical observations in my art as a source of knowledge and inspiration about vast space. The description of selected paintings which refer to ‘the standard cosmological model of the Universe’ can also be found in this part. Part III is dedicated to the creative process and the method. I explain the used technique and means of expression. I also state reason for my choice of painting supports as well as for choosing the colour gamut to the Hubble palette. In part IV I refer to the sources of inspirations: the ‘scientific image of the world’, historic and modern models of the Universe, astrophotography, astronomical observations, and the great masters’ artworks. Summary is a short synopsis. The artistic part of my doctoral work consists of ten paintings in oil technique, on linen canvas. The set includes: four paintings measuring 100 cm x 100 cm, three measuring 162 cm x 100 cm and three paintings of 162 cm x 162 cm.},
